Let's save the environment, yayy.

About the whole get farmers to come here and have a farmers market thing... I love the idea, but I don't think it'll work out. First of all, I think the farmers are too busy with their own stuff. And then we have to work out schedules and get everything approved and even then its not certain that a lot of people would show up or have money or whatever.

But then I thought, what if we bought them ourselves, and then sold them (with permission of course) during lunches? Because I've been trying to think of a way to make the school lunches better for a while. I'm positive people would buy if we sold them for reasonable prices and made the food presentable. And then when we sold them we could explain how the food was all locally grown and whatnot, which might inspire them to go and buy it themselves. It just seems like a more impact-ful way, even if there are still a lot of issues we'd have to work out. Oh, plus we could make a profit. :) And then we could expand from there, and people would be more interested because they'd have experienced it already.

Another thing that's a lot less cool that we could do is to just try and persuade people to go to the Kentlands farmers market, which is a lot less involved and with a lot less risk. But that's really boring. What do you guys think?

On a totally different topic, I just watched the finale of American Idol (I haven't watched in a couple years) and it SUCKED. What happened to the talent!? alkdjfadlfkjarkhg sigh.
